The Production Cycle
Modern Poultry Farm has vertically integrated the entire production cycle, owning the feed production plant, rearing the day old chicks to growing stages and finally to the laying stage of hens, the packaging center for eggs and a well-developed distribution and logistics.
Due to control of the entire production cycle, from the production of food for the own birds in our own compound feed factory, to the raising of chickens in the own young chickens farms, of laying hens in the own hens’ farms, to packaging of eggs in the ISO9001:2015 Quality management certified and ISO 22000:2018 food safety management certified packaging center, MPF can guarantee the maximum quality for all its products.
The Feed Plant & Feed Formulation
We make sure that the laying hens are fed according to the Indian quality standards, fact which reflects in the quality of their eggs.
The mesh feed is prepared in the own feed plant from raw material purchased from the reliable partner suppliers. It is formulated according to nutritional requirements as suggested by the poultry nutritionist and fed to chickens, growers and of laying hens in order to get optimum growth and production levels.
Our formulated Feed consisting of two major grains maize & Bajra including four De-oiled cakes of Soyabean, groundnut, Sunflower, mustard and Rice Bran which are of non GMO and chemical free. Most of our feed ingredients are purchased from organic lands of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat & UP.
We have never used DDGS or MBM and steroids as our feed ingredients. We purchase raw material directly from our reliable partner suppliers and the ingredients are tested in Lab for various quality parameters before feeding at farm.
The feed is free of hormones, of meat powder, antibiotics or of various products such as growth stimulators or other substances hazardous to human health or that of the birds.
Due to the quality of raw materials and the advanced production recipes, we are definitely sure of the quality of poultry feed and, consequently, of the eggs to be delivered or of the ones that will become raw material for the products supplied by us.
Modern Poultry Farm has vertically integrated the entire production cycle, owning the feed production plant, rearing the day old chicks to growing stages and finally to the laying stage of hens, the packaging center for eggs and a well-developed distribution and logistics. In the farm there are applied measures that comply with the protection of the environment and the biosecurity conditions.
We ensure that all hens are give a nutritious and healthy diet that consists of corn and soya mix. Healthy hens then lay eggs rich in protein and the yolk also is of beautiful golden color.
All eggs are graded using UV lights to check for any cracks and abnormalities in order to ensure that only fresh and best quality eggs are sent in the packing facility to reach your doorstep.
The eggs are sorted and cleaned once they reach our facility. This is followed by quick packing process and then dispatched in temperature controlled vehicles to reach you within 48 hours of lay.
Stages of Layer Development
In the youth farm chickens are raised, the chicks are selected and transferred to the farms of laying hens. In the eggs selection and packaging center, the A category eggs are packed, which are delivered directly to both small and big distribution customers, and B Category eggs are transferred into the pasteurized eggs factory.
The chicks are raised under the strict supervision of veterinarians and of support staff who are highly trained in the field.
The whole activity is provided and controlled by an automated feeding, watering, ventilation and heating system so that chickens are supplied the necessary daily quantities of water and food, and the optimal temperature, humidity and cleaning of the spaces in which they are raised. There are applied measures that comply with the protection of the environment and the biosecurity conditions. As well, the farm benefits of sanitary- veterinary filters for controlled access of staff and of the transportation means.
Of the Chicks farm, after reaching the optimal age, the young chickens are transferred in one of the laying hens’ farms.
In the laying hens’ farms of MPF there are ensured all the conditions for raising the hens in improved cages and free range.
There are modern farms that comply with the conditions for the protection of the environment and biosecurity, having implemented the latest technologies available, which ensure the automatic control of feeding, watering, ventilation and heating activities. As well, the farms benefits of sanitary-veterinary filters for controlled access of staff and of the transportation means.
MPF owns one of the best centers for collecting, sorting and packaging eggs in ISO 9001:2015 Quality management certified and ISO 22000:2018 food safety management certified packaging center.
This center incorporates advanced technological equipment which ensures fine operations. First we check the integrity of shells. If a very small crack is detected, even of the micrometer level, the egg is removed in the B Category. As well, the device can detect and remove eggs that show signs such as traces of blood inside, dirt or stains.
In the center we sort the eggs also by size and, after sorting, they enter a disinfection area where we use the best solution of the moment, namely: UV disinfection.
After sorting and disinfecting them, some of the eggs enter the packaging area where they are packaged in 6 or 12 eggs boxes or in 25 or 30 eggs trays, the eggs being separated in red and white and by weight categories. The packaging materials ensure the integrity of eggs during storage and transport.
We tend to all food safety protocols and processes to guarantee our eggs are the highest quality. MPF eggs are produced according to strict food safety and animal welfare standards. The collecting, sorting and packaging center of MPF is ISO 9001:2015 Quality management certified and ISO 22000:2018 food safety management certified which is an international standard for food & guarantees that the quality level remains constant in the certified operations.
This certification gives our customers the guarantee that they have access to products that comply with the most demanding legal, safety and quality standards, whether we speak about packaged white and free range brown eggs & Desi eggs and organic chicken.
Our Sustainable Poultry Farming
MPF is concerned about our natural resources, and we work hard to be responsible stewards of land, air, water and energy. As demands to feed the world’s growing population become even greater, sustainability is much more than a buzzword. Every aspect of the egg production process, from cultivating feed to transporting the eggs, has led to a reduced environmental footprint.
Due to increased feed efficiency, advancements in hen housing and best practices in manure management; egg farms use less water and energy on a daily basis and release less pollutantsperunit. Eggs produce lowest carbon footprints as compared to any other animal protein source and can be said as climate smart diets. With improvement in breed characterstics of layer birds by Venky’s,Skylark and RIR hens are laying more eggs per annum which lead to reduced carbon emission based on the life cycle assessment study.
We are harvesting 10 kW of solar energy required to operate the poultry farm.Approximately 20 metric tonnes of Carbon emissions reduced as compared to other means of power generation.
We try to avoid open dumping of poultry manure to reduce green houses gases emissions. The agriculturist from local areas is supplied with Poultry manure, which is an excellent, low cost fertilizer and its use is replacing synthetic fertilizers like urea. Land application of litter returns nutrients and organic matter to the soil, building soil fertility and quality. In addition to the macronutrients, N, P and K, poultry manure contains calcium, magnesium, sulfur, and micronutrients. Poultry manure contains nutrient elements that can support crop production and enhance the physical and chemical properties of the soil. It increases the moisture holding capacity of the soil and improves lateral water movement, thus improving irrigation efficiency and decreasing the general droughtiness of sandy soils.
Our 3R Strategy
The “3 R’s” Rule
Best practices of solid waste management and environmental stewardship: Stands for “Reduce” consumption, “Reuse” until no longer useful and lastly “Recycle” what cannot be reused – each step to be considered in order to minimize or delay materials entering the waste stream.
Many of the things we use every day, like paper bags, cans, and plastic bags and jute bags, are made out of materials that can be recycled. Recycled items are put through a process that makes it possible to create new products out of the materials from the old ones.
We are ensuring a bright and fruitful future for all of our stakeholders through the hard work in order to achieve the desired goals and upgrading the poultry sector.
